ACL offering discounts for students and military members

Ticket sale set for Sept. 14


Students and servicemen and women will be able to buy their tickets for Austin City Limits at a discounted rate in an upcoming sale.

ACL Festival's annual Student Sale will return online Thursday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at The festival returns to Zilker Park in downtown Austin for two weekends Oct. 6-8 and Oct. 13-15.

For the first time, ACL Fest has partnered with Vet Tix to include military personnel in this sale, providing specially priced tickets to active duty, Gold Star families, Guard, Reserves and honorably discharged veterans.

Both sales will take place online only with a limited amount of discounted general admission three day tickets for both weekends available for $230 (fees included), with a limit of eight tickets per eligible individual. A valid student ID (high school, college or university) will be required for wristband pick up.  

Fans purchasing through Vet Tix can access the Vet Tix website today to be verified via and their Troop ID program.    

General Admission three day tickets for weekend two are still available, but single day tickets for Friday and Sunday are available for both weekends at Children ages 10 and under will be admitted free of charge accompanied by a ticketed adult.

On both weekends, festival attendees will see performances from JAY-Z, Martin Garrix, The xx, Ryan Adams, Solange, FOSTER THE PEOPLE, and more on Friday, while Saturday's festivities include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chance The Rapper, ICE CUBE, Spoon, Tove Lo, A$AP Ferg and much more.  The Killers, Gorillaz, Run The Jewels, The Head and the Heart, Vance Joy, ZHU and Milky Chance will close out Sunday night on each weekend.
