Beto O'Rourke schedules campaign stop in Cedar Park

The Democratic challenger to Senator Ted Cruz will make a campaign stop in Cedar Park Aug. 29.

Beto O'Rourke, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, is on a march to visit every county in Texas as a part of his race against Republican incumbent Ted Cruz.

Next week, O'Rourke will visit Cedar Park to hold a town hall-style campaign stop at the Cedar Park Recreation Center.

The El Paso Congressman won the Democratic primary in March and says he has visited about 230 of the state’s 254 counties since March to engage with voters on the issues.

The Cedar Park event will be held on Aug. 29 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Cedar Park Recreation Center, 1435 Main St., Cedar Park.
