Bucy kicks off reelection campaign

Rep. John H. Bucy III (D) announced his 2020 reelection campaign at a campaign kick-off event on Saturday at Springwoods Park. Bucy said his grandfather has inspired him to be who he is today. “He taught me to work hard and take risks to do what’s right,” Bucy said. “He taught me the importance of service and being part of something greater than yourself. He taught me that it’s not about fighting for Republican or Democratic values. It’s about fighting for our shared Texas values and doing our part to make Texas as good as it’s promise. That is why I am proud to carry on his legacy as I stand with all of you to announce that I’m running for reelection to continue serving as your state representative.”
