FAITH ROUNDTABLE COMMENTARY

FAITH ROUNDTABLE: Mark Brown

Posted

In response to May’s roundtable question, to believe God is hiding is subjective. It is important to establish we believe the Word of God to be truth therefore according to the Word, God does not hide.

Scripture tells us in Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. God is available and can be found. Jeremiah 33:3 teaches us when we call on Him, He answers us. Matthew 6:33 teaches us to seek ye first His Kingdom… this phrase “seek ye” in the original Greek is the word “Zeteo” which means to seek out to find out, enquire and or to crave. God is not hiding as in a game of hide and seek, but in perspective — it’s about us pursuing His will, His way and His wisdom.

Hebrews 13:5 teaches us He will never leave us nor forsake us. It’s important to realize with God we can begin again, live again and dream again. Life is life and in this journey, we can feel alone but never think for one minute you are abandoned by God. Feelings can be deceptive. You must hold onto the truth that God is with you through valleys and mountains. We must realign our mind, will and emotions to hear His voice over the voices of the world.

The Bible teaches us in the book of Hebrews that we should not harden our hearts. When you experience pain learn from it, but do not harden your heart. Some people think others do not have the problems they do because of what they hear and see on social media. It’s important to realize what people publish is a highlight reel of life and you may not see the valleys but they are there.

You are here today reading this because whether you acknowledge it or not, God brought you through. He brought you through yesterday, last year, last season, last appointment and he will get you through your next.

You are loved, accepted, highly favored, an overcomer, victorious and reaching your full potential. Keep the faith! You are never alone. God is with you.
