One of Austin’s soulful fast-casual burrito restaurants has come to roost in Cedar Park’s Parke retail center.
Freebirds World Burrito will be opening its newest branch of casual Mexican fare at 5001 183A Toll Rd. Ste. R500 on Friday, July 28. To celebrate the occasion, Freebirds World Burrito is giving away free burritos for a year to the first 25 guests in line on opening day.
“It’s been an exciting year for the Freebirds World Burrito family,” said Eric Coolbaugh, Vice President of Marketing. “It’s awesome watching the brand continue to expand and reach new communities and we’re amped to open in Cedar Park.”
The quirky, music-inspired restaurant’s menu features a selection of customizable burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, bowls and salads.
The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner; Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
To celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, the eatery has brought back cherished promotions and menu items, including Tattoosday, where guests who stop by on Tuesdays to show off their ink receive a free order of chips and salsa with their purchase, and the iconic “Pot Brownie.” The new location will also feature an updated design the from the bird Austin has come to know and love.
From Monday, July 24 through Wednesday, July 26, the local Freebirds restaurant gave a portion of its proceeds to benefit the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation, the Austin Dog Alliance and Cedar Park Fire Department.
With nearly 90 restaurants nationwide, the Austin-based brand has been recognized as one of FastCasual.com’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers in 2014 and 2016.
