Hill Country Christian School of Austin will hold a groundbreaking ceremony next week for a new $7 million multipurpose athletic center.
The school said its new facility will feature a 94-foot competition-sized basketball court, two practice courts, locker rooms with showers, a fully-equipped weight room, and seating for more than 500 people.
“With an enrollment of 570 students and sports teams totaling 40, this building will be an invaluable asset for Hill Country Christian School,” the school said in a news release.
Established in 1996 as a ministry of Hill Country Bible Church, the school is now in its 23rd year. Located on 54 beautiful acres in the Cedar Park area, HCCS describes itself as an “Independent, Christ-centered, Classical, college-preparatory school with classes ranging from preschool to 12th grade.”
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 3:15 p.m. at the school’s Hatch Field, 12124 RR 620 North.
