Leander’s popular annual outdoor festival, the Old Town Street Festival, opens in downtown Leander on Friday, May 18. Local and national artisans will bring handmade crafts and country music stars Little Texas will take the stage on Saturday night.
The festival will feature family-friendly events, including several music groups on stage Friday night and throughout the day on Saturday. Children’s events will include bounce houses, a giant slide, pony rides and a petting zoo.
Entry to the festival is free, though some activities have separate prices. Children’s carnival rides and events will accept tokens purchased at the festival.
There will be street closures around the area during the event. Free parking is available in all nearby Leander ISD parking lots surrounding Old Town.
Additional free parking is available at the Leander Rail Station. Capital Metro buses will provide easy transportation to and from Old Town every 30 minutes on the hour from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday for free. In the event the lot fills, overflow parking will be available at St. David’s Emergency Center Leander.
