Donna LeJeune is the new principal at Faubion Elementary School. LeJeune was most recently assistant principal at Pflugerville ISD's Cele Middle School – a position she has held since 2016.
The announcement was made by outgoing LISD Superintendent Dan Troxell on June 20.
“Donna is a strong instructional leader who designs systems that support and enrich learning opportunities for all students," Troxell said. "Her collaborative leadership style will strengthen partnerships with teachers, parents, and community members while honoring the rich culture and traditions of Faubion Elementary.”
In a release, the district said LeJeune began her career in 2002 as an elementary teacher in Luling ISD, teaching in various capacities there. She also worked in Judson ISD and Little Cypress-Mauriceville ISD.
LeJeune was an elementary assistant principal in 2008 in Nederland ISD before joining Pflugerville ISD as a seventh-grade English/Language Arts teacher in 2009. She began her work in campus administration in 2010, serving as an assistant principal at multiple campuses in PISD.
“I am incredibly honored and immensely excited to be given the opportunity to join Leander ISD and serve the dedicated staff, students, and community of Faubion Elementary,” LeJeune said. “I look forward to establishing strong partnerships with all of my stakeholders. Together, we will build upon the great things that are happening on our campus. As a Panther family, we will keep student success as our central focus and continue to provide an exceptional academic experience to everyone we serve.”
LeJeune earned a bachelor’s degree in education at Sam Houston State University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Wayland Baptist University.
