Missing Cedar Park boy, Round Rock woman found

After a brief search, Cedar Park Police found a missing 10-year-old boy safe on Saturday night. The boy was reported missing late Saturday afternoon near Janet Bardles Park. In an unrelated incident, a 27-year-old autistic woman was found safe after a two-day search in Round Rock.

A Cedar Park police spokesperson said Jonathan Humphrey had last been seen in the 1000 block of Buttercup Creek Boulevard. He was later found safe near the Avery Ranch area. 

Helicopters from the Texas Department of Public Safety Helicopter the Austin Police Department assisted Cedar Park police and fire departments with the search. 

In a separate, unrelated incident, a 27-year-old autistic woman was found near her Round Rock home after a two-day search. 

Tonia Henderson, 27, wandered from her home on East Old Settlers Boulevard and West Mesa Park Drive in Round Rock Friday afternoon.

Henderson, who is nonverbal, was reported missing last Friday afternoon. Round Rock police searched the neighborhood near her home but were unable to find her. 

By Saturday morning, Round Rock police had enlisted the help of Texas Search and Rescue.

Using helicopters, boats and trained search dogs, the search continued until Henderson was found a parked vehicle around 3:30 p.m. while officers were canvassing the residences in the 1200 block of Old Settlers Blvd.

During the course of the 48-hour search, multiple agencies including the Austin Police Department, Hutto Police Department, Williamson County Sheriff's Department, Georgetown and Cedar Park Fire Departments, Round Rock Emergency Management and Williamson County Emergency Management provided either manpower or resources to assist in the effort.

Williamson County sheriff's deputies also responded to a shots fired situation near Anderson Mill Village on Sunday, suggesting area residents a 'shelter in place' during a brief initial investigation.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Department later said that no suspect was taken into custody and no one is being sought by law enforcement in connection with the event.
