A high-flying Dripping Springs offense overwhelmed Vista Ridge in the Rangers' home opener on Friday, with the the Rangers falling 42-21 at Gupton Stadium.
Tigers starting quarterback Trevor Greenman went 10-of-12 passing for three touchdowns and rushing for 143 yards and two additional scores.
Dripping Springs recovered a fumble recovery on the initial kickoff and poured on the pressure from that point forward.
The Rangers were able to run effectively, averaging more than six yards a carry, tallying 246 yards on 39 rushing attempts.
Vista Ridge travels to South Austin on Friday to face Bowie at AISD's Burger Stadium.
