Vandegrift held Lehman to just four rushing yards and 103 total yards of offense while piledriving for 300 rushing yards of their own in a 62-7 blowout win over Lehman at Monroe Stadium on Friday.
Junior running back Brendan Bennett had a career game, finishing with 127 rushing yards on six carries and a touchdown. Isaiah Smallwood had three rushing touchdowns and 60 yards.
Quarterback Justin Moore finished 11-of-15 for 198 yards and three touchdowns and his relief Davis Beal went 3-of-5 for 48 yards and a touchdown while the Viper defense sacked Lehman quarterback Daniel O'Neal five times.
Vandegrift (3-3, 1-1) next travels to Bible Stadium to face a Leander team still looking for its first win of the season after the Lions played Vista Ridge to the wire in a 35-28 loss on Friday.
